Assembly of a prefabricated structure for an industrial promotion building in France

Start of the assembly of a prefabricated structure for a new industrial development building in France, corresponding to a new phase for a client who has renewed his trust in our turnkey engineering and construction teams for his new building for the third time.

Through the industrialized assembly system with a highly specialized team, the logistical organization and the anticipation of technical projects and manufacturing, we achieved an assembly period of 12 days for the entire structure, slabs, stairs, interior partitions and prefabricated enclosures for this ship of more than 1,500 m2.

With the technical system of industrialized construction using precast concrete pillars and prestressed girders and solid precast panels, we ensure a high degree of stability and fire resistance of the structure and partitioning between different buildings, without the need for subsequent coatings.

Through the construction of the office floors with prestressed alveolar plates and precast concrete stairs, we achieve large spans without intermediate pillars on the ground floor, guaranteeing the fire stability of the complex and reducing possible vibrations.

The project has been carried out using a single-slope structure and a sandwich panel with incorporated insulation, for the photovoltaic installation on the roof.

Our clients value an optimized technical solution and a single specialist interlocutor from the design to the integral execution of their industrial and logistics buildings.

Can we help you in your new project?

Galvanizing factory once again trusts our team for the construction of a precast concrete industrial warehouse

Egein has developed the technical project, the manufacture and is currently in the assembly phase of an industrial warehouse using a precast concrete system in Béziers (France) for a galvanizing and metal manufacturing industry for a client who previously trusted our team with a first construction phase.

The construction system is made up of precast concrete pillars embedded in the foundation by means of a chalice, primary and secondary structure for the roof in prestressed concrete, and precast enclosing panels mounted horizontally, with incorporated polystyrene insulation. The interior divisions in solid precast concrete guarantee fire protection between the different sectors.

After developing the technical project using the BIM system and calculations with Eurocode, validated by the French control entities, and carrying out the foundation by our civil works teams, the assembly of the prefabricated warehouse is being carried out with the highest standards of quality and protection of the building against an aggressive chemical environment of the interior industrial process.

The manufacturing process, transport logistics and on-site assembly are being carried out by our teams without any budgetary deviation or execution deadlines, according to the planning provided by our technical office and contracted with the client.

Through the turnkey design and execution of the whole industrial building, we have managed to reduce the costs and execution times of the project, helping the growth and improvement of processes for our client, without deviations and with total satisfaction on their part.

After carrying out the engineering and construction corresponding to the expansion of the logistics facilities for distribution in the food sector of FORPAS GASTRONOMÍA in Palafrugell (Girona).

After carrying out the engineering and construction corresponding to the expansion of the logistics facilities for distribution in the food sector of FORPAS GASTRONOMÍA in Palafrugell (Girona), EGEIN has proposed and developed the engineering and turnkey solar photovoltaic installation on the roofs of the ships built in a first phase.

Through the installation of 120 high-efficiency panels, we have achieved an installed photovoltaic power of 54 Kwp in a self-consumption regime and surplus compensation, allowing our client 54% self-sufficiency, with a significant reduction in energy costs mainly derived from the high consumption of refrigerated food storage rooms.

The installation monitoring system allows our client and our technical services to monitor solar production in real time and with traceability of the history of energy consumption and production.

The investment made represents a 22% return IRR (at 25 years) with a low return period of the investment made, while improving the environmental sustainability of the activity through the production of renewable energy in the same facilities.

Empresa i Treball allocates 20 million euros to aid for reindustrialization

  • This line will subsidize reindustrialization projects and new productive investments, outplacement of jobs affected by closure situations, relocation of production to Catalonia and acquisitions of companies in difficulty
  • Applications can be submitted until next May 23

The Department of Business and Labor has opened the call for a line of subsidies, endowed with 20 million euros, aimed at supporting reindustrialization actions, outplacement, relocation, new investments and the acquisition of companies in difficulty.

According to the councilor of the department, Roger Torrent i Ramió, this initiative “aims to help the industry regain weight in Catalonia through the reindustrialization of the productive activities that are closing, the search for new investments and the promotion of new industrial projects”. Likewise, he remarked that the industrial sector is key to the transformations of the productive system that the Government is promoting, since “it has a dragging effect on the economy as a whole, it plays a decisive role in the climate emergency and generates employment of quality”.

Applications can be submitted until May 23 and they can opt for a maximum amount of up to 2.3 million euros per project if the aid can fit into the time frame of the Covid. These aids are by non-competitive competition.

The evaluation criteria are, among others, the volume of investments, the number of jobs, the impact on local suppliers, unemployment in the region, the territorial impact, the optimization of waste or the use of renewable energies.

The subsidized expenses are: the investment in productive fixed assets for the development of the project and the recruitment of associated jobs. The investment eligibility period runs from January 2022 to June 2024, in order to meet the uniqueness of this type of project.

The aid line is structured as follows:

  • Subsidies for reindustrialization projects that contribute to restarting or continuing the activity of production centers where there has been a closure or relocation that affects at least 100 direct or indirect jobs. Among the requirements will be that there must be a reindustrialization agreement signed during the period of the employment regulation file and that there must be a reindustrialization table with the participation of the parties involved.
  • Subsidies for outplacement projects that incorporate, in new or existing production centers, workers affected by situations of closure, reduction of activity or relocation. Agreement will be required during the consultation period of the employment regulation file between the company and the social representatives.
  • Subsidies for industrial activity relocation projects in Catalonia that invest in new production centers and that lead to a net increase in jobs.• Subsidies for large investment projects that are attractive and that lead to a net increase in jobs.
  • Subsidies for acquisition projects of industrial companies or production services in a situation of difficulty, which have communicated this situation to the Department of Business and Work.

Currently, industry in Catalonia represents nearly 20% of GDP and 18% of employment, and more than 50% of GDP if we consider the different activities associated with it. It is a sector that must face, in an accelerated manner, the challenge of the green transition and move towards more environmentally friendly forms of production, which is why linked valuation criteria have been incorporated into this line of aid to the circular economy and environmental sustainability.
