After carrying out the engineering and construction corresponding to the expansion of the logistics facilities for distribution in the food sector of FORPAS GASTRONOMÍA in Palafrugell (Girona), EGEIN has proposed and developed the engineering and turnkey solar photovoltaic installation on the roofs of the ships built in a first phase.
Through the installation of 120 high-efficiency panels, we have achieved an installed photovoltaic power of 54 Kwp in a self-consumption regime and surplus compensation, allowing our client 54% self-sufficiency, with a significant reduction in energy costs mainly derived from the high consumption of refrigerated food storage rooms.
The installation monitoring system allows our client and our technical services to monitor solar production in real time and with traceability of the history of energy consumption and production.
The investment made represents a 22% return IRR (at 25 years) with a low return period of the investment made, while improving the environmental sustainability of the activity through the production of renewable energy in the same facilities.
